The Shire of Misty Highlands is proud to host a day long of martial activities at War College on June 7, 2008 at Mason Dixon Park, 61 Buckeye Road, Core, WV 26529. There will be pick-up fights and authorizations starting in the morning, with classes beginning at 11:00am. Battles in the afternoon till all are satisfied or ready to partake in the delicious feast prepared by Don Anias Finn (aniasfenne at hotmail.com). Please make reservations early, as feast is limited to 48.

There will be an A&S competition and display. The competition will be public's choice. All entries should be focused on some aspect of battle. Entries can be, but are not limited to, armor, weapons, scrolls depciting battle, items a warrior might carry on his person, etc. If you have any questions, please contact Lady Rota Egilsdottir at rotaegilsdottir at yahoo.com or mhartssciences at mistyhighlands.org.

The site will open at 9am and close at 8pm. The site is dry and no pets are allowed. The site fee is $7 with the feast being an additional $8. A light side board lunch will also be provided. There is a non member surcharge of $3, collected at the door for those without proof of membership. Reservations should be sent to Lady Rota Egilsdottir (Alicia Lyons), RR 1 Box 117 Grafton, WV 26354 by June 3. Make checks payable to "SCA, Inc. - Misty Highlands".

Directions:
Take your best route to I-79, Exit 155 (West Virginia University). From the North, (this is will be the first exit in WV), turn left off the ramp. From the South, make a right off the ramp, and head towards Morgantown. At the second light (Sheetz will be on your right), turn left onto Rt 7/ US 19. At 1.7 miles, turn left on Rt 7 and follow for another 7.6 miles (9.3 total). There will be a brown sign with "Mason Dixon Park" (in a straightaway), turn right and go across a bridge, the site will be 100 yards on your left.
