[Mistyhighlandslist] April meeting minutes (finaly)

Meeting was opened at 6pm with approx. 12 in attendance.

Marshall- weather has not been good, hope to have more practices soon.  May
have Wed. practices at Gareth's house fighters are urged to attend.  There
is talk of making spear, pole arm and great sword one authorization.
Fighters were encouraged to make Aethelmearc shields.

Chatelaine- One gentle posted to the list, but have not heard back from
him.  Have two demos coming up.  Looking for Shire publications to file.

Heraldry- No submissions right now.

Thrown weapons- Had a failed attempt at a practice during the A&S meeting
due to rain.  Will try to have practice at Valgard and Juliana's Thur. @ 6pm
and on A&S nights. Holding a competition April to Oct. best thrown weapons
score and best new thrower will receive prizes.

Exchequer- 2548.13 in bank account, nothing outstanding.  First quarter
report is due at the end of the month and is ready to go.

A&S- Had Monthly A&S worked on leather and Cross-stitch badges for Kingdom..
Next one is May 1st, which Amy may host.  Good turnout at Ice Dragon.  and
at BMDL scriptorium.

Archery- Nothing happening right now, hope to have something soon.

Chamberlain- Need to get iron key inventoried, and have heard from the
fencing Marshall.

Web Mistress- We still have a web page, and it has been update.

Seneschal- It has been quiet.

Old Business- War collage is coming up, anyone wanting to teach a class let
them know.  Doing a site visit soon.  Official announcement not yet in
Astel, only teaser due to space issues.  Need volunteers for this event.

New Business-
May 10 Health South Demo.  Voted on, passed unanimously.
July 11 Maplewood demo- 6-8 voted, passed unanimously.
Fall crown Oct. 11 voted to enter bid, passed unanimously.
Also looking at possibly having a Herald & Scribes event.
