[Mistyhighlandslist] advice for your castellan?

 Greetings,

I humbly request that anyone having suggestions regarding shire recruitment
share them with me.  Feel free to either respond on this list and get a
discussion going or to just shoot me a personal email.  Any suggestions
about areas of focus or ideas for demos (where to have it, what time of
year, suggestions for activities at demos) are most welcome.  At the last
meeting, it was suggested that we hold a King's Crossing style demo at one
of the semi-deserted malls in the Fairmont region.

As far as focus, my current inclination is to focus on the area surrounding
I-79 running through the heart of our shire.  My logic being that starting
small colonies too far away from the center of things would probably be
unproductive.  Far-flung cantons would probably whither without external
support.  Agree?  Disagree?  How much or how little effort should be put
into recruiting WVU students?  Your castellan wants to know!
