Greetings Highlands,





            As daylight savings time snuck up on me this year, I was a bit
late for the March business meeting.  But, my good Husband kept minutes for
me and they are as follows.



12 people in attendance meeting was opened 6:00 pm



Reports:

Thrown weapons is starting next week



Archery likely to start in Late April



Exchequer account total is 2733.49 with 4 checks outstanding once posted
balance will be 2166.49. Feast fund is taken care of.  The outstanding check
for 50.00 to SCA Inc. is still out and is now considered a problem.



Chatelaine Nothing from on high, taking suggestions for recruitment ideas.



MOL Planning on MOLing Donnan party.   Requesting help MOLing Defenders



Fencing Marshal Working on transfer of power, Status quo, good attendance,
working on youth Marshallate



Marshal report given by Jehan, there has been 2 practices at Salem lately,
and he will continue on as Marshall-at-large, Salem has laid off 2/3 of its
faculty recently



Webminister new forwards are set up, most have been tested.



A&S minister prize chest for tournaments, Morgantown A&S is on hold, first
Thur. Of each month proposed for scribal stuff.



Chirurgeon working towards warrant a second mentor has been lined up for
apprenticeship, kit is assembled and hopefully will never be needed, several
events coming up with opportunities to apprentice. No known injuries this
month



Chronicler been in contact with Kingdom and is now on roster and ready to
go.  March issue cost zero, encouraged to submit to newsletter with Jehan
mentioning the possibility of doing a piece on 300 and it's historical story
for next newsletter.



Seneschal says all is well.



Old Business



Dominion Post did a large article with great pictures on the Tomb of the
Unknown Fanboy, owner operator our own Matt.  The same reporter will be
doing an article on SCA is planning to attend Blackstone Raids.



Donnan Party is weekend after next MLA is the location



Health South Demo is getting ready with 2 tournaments heavy and rapier. 5$
to enter prizes should be great. Request people come out early to help set
up. Would like regalia and pavilions.  Have lots of space would like lots of
fighting, theme is a Historic Holiday.



Dress tabards were a hit, request by Seneschal to get prices together and do
a posting to list on who would be interested in wanting one. Possible
project to be done at Yule.



Sherwood event announcement is out, the site deposit is paid, check for
insurance was never cashed so cost was placed on personal credit card, which
has also still not been taken. But the event is in good shape.



Yule now has schedule 12pm Fencing starts, 5pm Dinner, 7pm meeting.



Meeting then moved to vigorous discussion of the movie 300



Meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm
