The sun was shining behind the CAC and the ample shade provided a nice
spot to enjoy the slight breeze.  The meeting was attended by Lord
Morgan Holte, Lady Ailionora inghean Fiachra, Lord Tearlach
MacCarnochan, Lydia Fraley, Lady Rota Egilsdottir, Lord Bjorn bunhauss
Olafsson, Lady Juliana Delamere, Master Valgardr Gunnarsson, and at
least one stinging insect.

Officer reports generally shared the "everything is fine" theme.  

The exchequer reported one outstanding check and two outstanding
advances (which are instances where someone has shire money but has not
provided evidence of proper expenditure).  

The outstanding check was issued to Lady Angeline Cruceau as a
reimbursement and has not been returned to the bank for payment.  The
check is more than half way to its 6 month expiration date.

One outstanding advance was issued to Don Anias Fenne for purchase of
shire shields.  In his absence, there was a general guess that this
would be resolved at Bog 3 Day.

The other outstanding advance was issued to Lady Yngrid Yngvarsdottir
for purchase of chirurgeon supplies.

Event reports for Defenders of Sherwood and Summer Aecademy were
submitted.  At Defenders of Sherwood spending outpaced income by $95. 
Summer Aecademy brought in $100 after sharing with Kingdom.

Lord Morgan reported that the loaner eppe would not pass inspection and
is in need of a replacement blade.  He was unanimously authorized to
spend up to $60 on replacement eppe blades.

Lady Juliana expressed a desire to pass on the Arts and Sciences torch.
 Lady Rota agreed to hold the torch until a proper election could be
held.  Nominations are open for shire MoAS.

Lord Tearlach mentioned seeing the Balloon Festival mentioned in
previous meeting minutes and asserted that it should be taken up now if
there is sufficient interest.  There was much grumbling about gate fees
and helping hands.  It was asserted that we do not have the
person-power to do a Balloon Festival demo justice and would probably
be unable to coordinate fee waiving for folks who come from other
groups to help with the demo.

Master Valgardr mentioned trying to put together a war college event. 
Fall Crown rotates to Region 1 in 2008.  And there was discussion about
having a Sherwood event in 2008.  Bjorn agreed to attempt an event bid
for Sherwood 2008.

The Potluck site (formerly the "Yule" site but we can't call it that
anymore because it makes the weather cold) is unavailable for a
September potluck.  There was consensus to try for December.

There was no conclusion on where to have the September meeting.  If
you've read my ramblings this far you care about the shire and will
probably have some ideas about where we could meet in September.

That's all I think I remember 3 days and several shots to the head
later.  Where I'm wrong I'm wrong.  Please do correct me.  Better to
have correct information disseminated and one person wrong than
incorrect information disseminated and one person right.
