[Mistyhighlandslist] Local "boffer" groups a source of recruitment.

I just finished a little research on other kingdoms and their methods of
recruitment for new members. Henceforth, I was going to write a post aimed
at gleaning new members from local boffer groups in Morgantown/Northeast
West Virginia. However, the internet has failed to prove the existence of
anything even remotely related to LARPing (minus some White Wolf
stuff....you know who you are) anywhere near Mon County. Maybe someone
should start up a boffer group to draw the geeks out of the cracks of
Motown.
I realize this is my second post on this forum, and both have dealt with
recruitment. I must be eager to share this totally awesome hobby that I've
been lucky enough to become a part of.
Must be my nature...I've already promised a local fighter that 20 blonds in
heavy armor isn't an impossibility. *chuckle*
Should we begin to investigate why West Virginia is an anathema to physical
role playing? I mean, it's not like rednecks don't secretly love full
contact sports. I should know...I'm one of them. And even cultured swine
like Lord Anias enjoy a good rut in the mud every now and then. *snicker*
Something to ponder over the weekend...
Adel
