Thursday nights 6:00 p.m. An order for banner blanks
is being prepared for anyone interested. Anias

taking place as scheduled on Sundays and Mondays.
There have been about 9 people in attendance at the
last couple. There was one new Schlager

purchased, as previously decided, although one jacket
was incorrectly sized. She will turn in the receipts
when all the gear has been purchased.
Exchequer: Lady Rota Egilsdottir The bank balance is
now $2,858.93 as of this meeting. Crown Tourney
earned $739.92, of which $370 was donated to Kingdom
as per custom. Defenders of Sherwood produced a net
profit of $190.72. The non-member surcharge has been
paid for both events, and she has the event reports.

Practices are still happening at Thursday Althyngs. A
range was set up at Defenders of Sherwood, and about 6
people came to play. There was a brief discussion of
how to become a TW marshal, and adding that activity
to Morgantown Althyngs.
Chatellaine: Fiachna na Tuaighe No demos were held
this month.
Herald: Lady Arkhelaia Vsevolozha Valgardr's
submission is going well. The heraldic consultation
table at Defenders of Sherwood did more business than
expected, with several submissions.
List Minister: Presented by Valgardr for Lady Juliana
Delamere There is a stack of waivers to be sent in.
Web Minister: Presented by Valgardr for Lady Juliana
Delamere There have been a few changes made to the
website, and an overhaul is in the works.
Archery Marshal: THL Valgardr Gunnarsson Bjorn
expressed interest in becoming an archery marshal.
Robert the Grey was identified as the official to
speak to about this.
Knight Marshal: THL Valgardr Gunnarsson, reporting for
Count Sir Jehan de la Marche About 9 persons have
been attending the Morgantown practice on Monday of
each week. Starting last week, an additional practice
began on Wednesday nights at 6:30 in Salem, WV.
Seneschal: THL Valgardr Gunnarsson Reminded officers
of approaching report deadlines. The web minister's
is June 15th.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Student Organization: Angeline reported that she
has been unable to contact the persons she'd been
working with, perhaps due to summer break.
2. Barony War event bid: Nothing new to report.
Talked to both seneschals, and will shoot for next
Spring.
3. Event Reports: Crown Tourney and Defenders of
Sherwood. All went well, although attendance was a
bit low for Sherwood. The Sherwood site managers have
requested pictures. Leftovers from Sherwood included
two chickens, and some beef and noodles, now in
Tearlach's freezer.
4. Baronial Upgrade Discussion: Valgardr brought up
the subject of the Shire becoming a barony at a
seneschal's meeting at War Practice. Generally, the
responsive comments were not favorable, noting the
additional requirements and complications of operating
a barony, such as the need for 3-5 times the minimum
official required number of members (25) and the
expectation that all offices be filled without
doubling up, and each office have one or more
deputies.
NEW BUSINESS
1. New Serving Platters: Ailionora stated that we
will need new serving platters, preferably
non-breakable, to replace the old glass ones as they
are destroyed. We lost at least three of them at
Crown Tourney. We may be able to obtain about 30
plate-size ones from Matt and Adrienne, although rust
removal may be necessary. Replacements will be needed
in view of the number of possible event bids next
year.
2. Defenders of Sherwood VII: Good idea to get it on
the calendar as soon as possible due to next year's
Pennsic shift.
3. Summer Picnic: Should we consume the event
leftovers at a Shire picnic or pot-luck? Ailionora
will look into possible sites.
4. Shire Socials: The need for more shire social
activities was discussed, to bring together those in
different circles of interest. A pot-luck in December
was one idea mentioned.
5. Gold Key Workshop: Ailionora raised the
possibility of holding a spare garb workshop, to
repair and make rental garb, perhaps after Pennsic.
Donations of material and old garb would be sought.
Meeting Adjourned
Next meeting: July 9th at 6:00 p.m.
